A Tradition of Service Since 1980

In 1977, Mr. Wrobel opened the 71st Street Law Office. The 71st Street Law Office, along with the Legal Clinic of Wrobel and Roseman, both storefront offices, was a pioneer in bringing quality legal services at reasonable fees into Chicago’s neighborhoods. The 71st Street Law Office operated at 1927 E. 71st Street, Chicago, Illinois, for 10 years, and served the South Shore and neighboring communities. Today, a very large number of the clients of the 71st Street Law Office, along with the family and friends of those clients, are still clients of the present law firm of Joseph Wrobel, Ltd. Through the years, the law firm of Joseph Wrobel, Ltd. has interviewed and served more than 20,000 clients.

Meet Attorney Joseph Wrobel

Joseph Wrobel has practiced law since 1973 and has devoted much of his career to helping individuals and families resolve financial challenges through bankruptcy and related legal services.

He is married and has one son who, with his wife and school-age daughter, resides in California. Mr. Wrobel’s wife was the long-time program director for a North Suburban Senior Center. She has three married sons and seven grandchildren living in a Chicago suburb, Denver, and Washington DC.

Professional Leadership and Community Service

  • Bar Associations: Joe is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Bankruptcy Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.
  • Chicago Volunteer Legal Services: Joe is a long-time active participant in the Bankruptcy Panel of the Pro Bono Program of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS), which provides legal assistance to persons unable to afford a lawyer.
  • Mr. Wrobel is the recipient of two distinguished awards for service to CVLS.

Beyond the Practice of Law

When not practicing law, Mr. Wrobel is also an avid bicyclist, riding 8 to 10 hours weekly, and is a licensed cycling coach, training and coaching more than one dozen cyclists.
